After spending a good part of three days cleaning out Grandma's tiny apartment with my sisters, I decided that my children whom I love so much don't deserve the punishment of cleaning up my collections of the past 33 years that we have lived in this house. Therefore I have been trying to get a box ready for DI every day and a box for the garbage. Today really became addicting as I filled more boxes. I ended up taking 14 boxes of books and one bag of odds and ends to the DI. I hope you guys don't have anything of value left here at home because I intent to get rid of EVERYTHING!
Unfortunately you can't even tell I have taken anything out of the house but by July when you ALL come home there will be empty rooms like you have never seen before. Keep the encouraging words coming so I don't lose interest.
If you can think of anything that I have that you might want speak now or forever hold your peace because it might be gone before too long.

Now that is spring cleaning!
I don't want anything (except what we already talked about which I will not mention here in case someone else might want it :) so don't tell me what you are getting rid of. And if you find something of mine, send it away. I haven't noticed in 18 years and I don't want to know now.
Good workout too - hauling all that stuff :)
Way to go Mom! I'm with Kimber...if I haven't noticed it since leaving home I'm sure I won't miss it. Except that I am your sentimental kid so if you find anything that you made for me over the years (cabbage patch doll, etc) I would like to have it. Keep up the good work! I plan on checking your progress. :)
way to go, same as Kim, if Jake hasnt noticed anything missing by now. its yours. but I will ask him.
Well done! Even with our tiny little home we are trying to clear a few things out. Keep up the good work.
It's amazing the stuff we collect and then when doing spring cleaning realize we don't really need it. If I haven't found it by now, then I most likely won't need it later. I am sentimental as well and would like to at least know if there's something of mine before you get rid of it. The only thing I really miss is that doll I got for christmas the year someone brought us Christmas. I think I actually got rid of it though since I couldn't play with it becuase it had straw hair. Dragon is right - we are trying to clean out our little house and it's amazing what we've stuffed in this little house that we can't even get to now. Way to go on cleaning up! I really appreciate it having gone through Grandma Fullmer's things.
